What do you see?

  • A thick, rough area of skin.
  • A hardened, raised bump.
  • Tenderness or pain under your skin.
  • Flaky, dry or waxy skin.

Causes:

Pressure and friction from repetitive actions:

  • Wearing ill-fitting shoes.
  • Shoes without socks.
  • Running on hard surfaces without shoes.

Diagnosis:

  • Clinical examination and history.
  • X ray.

Treatment:

  • Wearing right foot wear.
  • Topical exfoliant.
  • Radiofrequency excision.
  • Cryotherapy.
  • Punch excision.
  • Excision and closure.
